About Me

Blessed by the Lord for the Joy of family!!

Blessed by the Lord for the Joy of family!!

I am a follower of Christ.  This is the one thing that I most desire to be known by, and the thing that takes the most effort to show in this crazy stage of life.  I am married to my dear sweet husband of 11 years.  We often look at each other and comment, “There is no one that I could have ever imagined running along side in this life.”  He is my best friend and one that continues to support, and point me to the King.  My four sweet children have all blessed and challenged me more than I could have ever dreamed!  I am thankful for the way the Lord has used each of them to mold and shape me.  It has been a glorious process, albeit very painful at times.  I am excited and longing for Heaven, where there will be no pain, or suffering.  Until that blessed day…I wait, and pray and seek to be more like Christ.

Prayer Requests and Things Heavy on My Heart

  1. I am not sure if you have ever thought about Make A Wish. But your daughter would qualify for a wish. I would love to be her wish granter if you haven’t already had a wish. Your daugher is in my prayers.

    • Thank you so much for your reply. We keep the “wish” in mind as we want Rachel to be healthy and happy when the time comes to have a wish. All the while secretly hoping that the time comes soon when she will no longer qualify to be granted a “wish” because the future of CF looks so drastically different. (I do have some questions, so would it be alright if I emailed you?) Are you in the area?

We appreciate your prayers! Thank you.

  2. Hi Tiffany,
I was made aware of the news about Kim though my Mom (she saw on Lisa Hatcher’s facebook). I came out to your website & was blessed to read you’re a follower of Christ also! It sounds like you’ve been faced with many of this life’s challenges, but I’m encouraged to hear you have His strength guiding you along your family’s journey. I too know this strength & could not imagine traveling this life’s rode without Him! Just wanted to leave a couple verses of Scriptures with you & know I’m lifting Kim&family up in prayer, along with your Beautiful family. Psalms 29:11 & 46:1 Blessings. – Jill

    • Just seeing this. I DON’T know why it did not show up in my regular notifications (I am trying to update and change a few things around my blog this week and just saw your message.) Although it is extremely late, thank you for the encouragement. What a blessing to know you too are a sister with our King. He is a good God despite the challenges that life throws at us. Fun to see your name. =)

      Blessings to you!

  3. Hi, I met Rachel and you at Costco yesterday. I consider each day that I have an assignment from the Lord, and yesterday was my day of favor as I had all great parking spots, all green lights and I chose to wear my Rachels raise of Hope T-shirt, and you spotted me at Costco, and we had matching shirts! I have prayed for the Rachel on my t-shirt so I was thanking the Lord Jesus for our encounter! My sister told me to look on google as I knew nothing about this, and actually thought it had something to do with Hawaii, because of the T-shirt design!

    • What a joy to know of the Lord’s plans and uplifting encounters. It was a blessing to read your note! Rachel was thrilled to hear that you have been praying for her. God is gracious, and oh so very good! Thank you for taking the time to write and encourage our hearts. We are praying for God to heal our girl! The shirts are our way of raising money towards this cure. They raise money, but they do so much more for our spirits. They are a tangible reminder of God’s ability to do more than we could ask, or imagine. Then joy of seeing a complete stranger wearing it and knowing of your faith…icing on the cake. Thank you again for sharing.

  4. Hi. I have 3 children, twin 5 y/o girls (one with CF) and a 2 1/2 y/o son, also with CF. I also Homeschool. My daughter was diagnosed at 7 weeks and to be honest, my husband and I have sort of been running this race blindly ever since. I have yet to find any other CF Moms that are Christians and positive about a healing and or a cure. I would love to share stories. Could you email me? Thank you so much for your site. It is very encouraging to see.

    • So sorry that I am just now seeing this message. =( I am going to respond, even if it is extremely late. I am sure you have a bit of “sea legs” when it comes to cf now a few years later. But definitely just said a prayer for you. Having two with cf would definitely bring its own set of challenges. Feel free to drop me another message and I will be sure to respond quicker. =) Blessings to you and your family.

  5. I just came across your blog tonight. I am a 27 year old girl with CF. My sister also has C.F. I too believe and follow Jesus Christ. You and your family Wil be in my prayers . As a fellow cfer and a believer It is so encouraging to read your blog posts . I recently was the sickest I’ve ever been in my 27 years but fortunately my pfts went drastically back up. I have only been hospitalized once. . I am not taking any of the new gene therapy yet. I would be interested in knowing ( if you don’t mind disclosing) what mutation Rachel has? If not that is ok too. Tell Rachel to stay strong 🙂

    • Thank you so much for your kind comments. It is encouraging to read and hear from adults that have walked this heralding road of life with cf. I was talking with someone yesterday that I DO NOT know how anyone can walk this road without Jesus. EVEN WITH Jesus, it is so difficult on many days.

Rachel is a DDF508. I love that you have only been hospitalized one time. That is our hope and prayer for her as well. We fight like crazy here at home so that she is as healthy as she can be. May I ask what are some of your helpful things you do to manage your cf? Also, what mutations do you have, if I may ask? I am so interested in how and what the older adults do to keep themselves healthy. I know sometimes it really is just the road that you travel despite doing everything you can to stay well. That’s where we must rest in Jesus and KNOW that He has a plan despite the hardships of this disease. He is a good GOD!! Thanks again for your kind words. Blessings to you and your family.
