Busy Fall!

My precious five! So thankful for each one of these miracles.

My precious five! So thankful for each one of these miracles.

This has been a busy Fall around our house.  Not sure why it is so different this year, but it seems it has been full of more activity and certainly more issues than usual.  I think of things to blog about ALL THE TIME, however, to actually carve out the time to sit down and write…well that is a totally different story. =) So here are a few highlights and updates.

The girls are still enjoying gymnastics.  So fun to see them learning and growing in their skills as well as getting great exercise.

We survived and thrived through football.  Oldest son had a great experience playing with some amazing young men and being coached by some incredible men.  As crazy busy as it was, it was a blessing like no other we have been a part of in sports thus far.  It was so wonderful to watch our child have fun participating in a sport, and even more fun to watch him excel playing the sport.  But to watch his heart and spirit draw closer to the Lord because of this experience is beyond words.

Nathan also was able to hone in on his kicking skills. It was fun to see his skills improve through the season.

It was a joy to see Nathan improve on his decision making abilities. By the end of the season he was learning to run the ball well when he needed too without worry if he was being too selfish with the ball.  Love that he was concerned about that, but even more exciting to see him learning to play well.

So here’s a few pictures from our last three months at the football field.  Five days a week for a mama who likes to stay home, was a lot. =)

Younger son enjoyed flag football this year and can’t wait for the “big boy” football next year.

Along with doing football practice and games 5 days a week, we seem to have had a bigger load with school.  Homeschooling is a blessing in the biggest way, however, it is also action packed and full of constant adjustments.  We have spent a great deal of time adjusting to the needs of each child this fall.  Having a toddler running through the house has proven a lesson in creativity and focus.  It is hard to keep on your studies while watching a sweet, playful and VERY cute toddler in the midst.  I suppose that is part of the joy of learning too.

I plan to try to blog tomorrow on Rachel’s health a bit, but I suppose that all depends on just HOW the day goes. =)

Despite the busy fall…we are so very thankful for this fun, sometimes chaotic, and yet…beautiful life!  God has been so very good to us.

Thankful!
