Thankful for Joy In the Moments

We truly do have a lot to be thankful for this summer.  People often ask how the summer has been and despite being very busy with baseball, it has been fabulous!  Through the business, we continue to learn to focused on celebrating life.  Celebrating the joy that the Lord gives each and every day.  He is gracious and so giving, our job is to stop and recognize ALL that He does give and give Him praise.  One of the biggest blessings of the summer has been our health!  It has been one of the healthiest in years.  I praise the Lord for His goodness in just letting us experience rest and peace this summer.

JOY!!  Love this kiddos!

Feisty little girl! Having a blast…literally!

Loving Life!

Sweet Shiloh!

One highlight I wanted to share, (mostly so I remember, as it is easy to forget the simple joys).  Last night we went to a friend of Rachel’s birthday party.  It was a perfect night.  The kids all had an amazing time playing at the park!  All the way home each of the four kids kept thanking us for taking them (pizza and cake were fun, but they LOVED making new friends and playing).  PRECIOUS!  They played tag, and ran through a sprinkler park, played in the sand, and then ran some more.  Their faces were priceless.  The parents stood around and enjoyed chatted with one another. =) (I have great memories of being a kid running around parks, my mom used to have a lot of their Bible studies at parks, I now know why.  She was smart!)  The evening was perfect, the weather, the engaging company, the delightful kids.  We all came home tired, encouraged, joyful, and renewed by being with others.

So very thankful.  After a bit of a stressful week, with Rachel’s CF appointment, what would have been my mom’s birthday, and the preparations for a new homeschool year…it was an incredible, unexpected blessing to have such a beautiful relaxing night!  We even had the insight to do Rachel’s treatment before we went…making it that much sweeter to let the kids play until dark without worry of doing her treatment when we got home=).  Simple joys!  It truly was one of those times that you realize how God is so very good to us in the simplest of ways.  Joy in the moment!
