Fundraiser Friday

Wow, this week has flown by…I almost forgot that it was FRIDAY!!  I know that sounds crazy, but we have had things almost everyday and every night this week.  Life has been crazy, but good!

One of the fun items received this week a Creative Memory Basket- Wow!!

So on the fundraising front…things have been moving.  Everyday it is a joy to go get the mail.=) We know our mail carrier pretty well (he actually came to Rachel’s Raise of Hope last year and wears her t shirt every Saturday under his uniform.  He tells Rachel every Saturday that he has her shirt on, and she just beams!).  Mr. Mark, as the kids call him is aware of our efforts, so it is fun to have him be part of the joy of seeing items come in for the event.  It is also fun to be able to witness and give praise to the Lord for His goodness with each item that comes in.

The list of items is slowly building.  There is a great deal of prayer going on daily.=)  I am so thankful that God is faithful and wise, and when we submit our will to Him, we can be confident of His provision and protection.  I still have that nagging concern of not having enough great items to bid on, or enough people at the event…but I continue to pray through those emotions.  God is abel and He is in control.  My part is to work as hard as I can and honor God through all that I do!  The rest is up to Him!

T shirts– We have a few more tshirt donors to add to the shirts so far.  We have Kohl’s, L.Preciosion Enterprises,  Allied Tire, Alegent Health, Design Strategies, and Tranquility Dental.  Our goal is 8-10 sponsors, so we are pretty close to reaching that goal.  It would be great to find another couple in the next week.
We have also worked pretty hard on the design for the shirt, we have the basic design just need to tweak the details a bit.

Donations–  Like I said, they are starting to come in, but continued prayers are needed.  Every item donated, brings excitement to the event and contributes money toward a cure for Cystic Fibrosis!!   Fun items+great interest+people attending=$ toward this cure that is so desperately needed! The more fun items, the more interest and the more awareness created for CF.  We are so amazed and encouraged by friends giving on behalf of Rachel and her future!

Helpers–  So far we have a list of people that are willing to help for the night, but still need a few more great people to make the event run smoothly.  If you are available, please contact me.

Getting the Word Out–  This is one of the easiest ways to help.  LET OTHERS KNOW!  We need people at the Hall on April 13th!  We have some amazing items already and now we need to have the amazing people to bid on the items.  People=more resources that we can throw at this crummy disease of CF!  Please plan to attend and tell everyone that you know to come too.  We want the place to packed out!!

Thankful for the many blessings that we have seen with our friends and loved ones over the last few weeks/months.  God is gracious and good.  I love watching Him work wonders and miracles in the midst of a crushing disease.  He brings hope, joy, encouragement, and strength through this journey.  Through it all we continue to gain a greater faith and dependence on Him.  The fundraiser has been used by Him.  Despite the intense work of it…it is such a blessing to know God walks even this part of our journey with us and not only that, He has graciously sent others fight alongside us for Rachel’s life!  God is our strength and our shield!

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Prov. 3:5
