3 Days to go!!!

Check out this song on youtube.  This is the song that we used last year for Rachel’s video.

We have been busy working hard to figure out the details about this Friday night!  The prayer, long hours and late nights have been at times tough, but it is so rewarding to see it all starting to come together.  Thanks to the LORD and HIS providing amazing people that have come along side of us.  I continue to be amazed at His goodness through this all!!  Daily, we are reminded of His care for us.  This was a huge undertaking for us, but not for our GOD, and we have been intimately blessed to be able to watch Him work!

This morning in our Bible time we read about Elijah and how the Lord gave him something hard to do (tell people that there was going to be no rain for the next few years-people I am sure were not happy with that).  This reminded me of this fundraiser in a way.  Elijah’s task was difficult.  I am sure that he felt some trepidation with it, as I have.  And yet, he moved and obeyed.  What was God’s purpose through it all??? I believe it was to show that He was God, and  that He was good.  I am still amazed at how the Lord took care of Elijah through it all.  He sent him to a brook that had water, brought food in amazing ways (through a raven bringing bread and meat daily) and truly took care of him.  The story goes on to tell about when the brook dried up.  GOD CONTINUED TO TAKE CARE OF HIM!!  And once again it was in amazing ways!  He provided!!!  OVER and OVER-God took care of Elijah.

This passage was a huge source of joy to my heart today!  I feel a bit like Elijah!  Sometimes we are hiding in a cave (albeit our home), and sometimes it is God who brings us our daily rations (through others).  BUT HE ALWAYS PROVIDES!! We know that God has led us to this spaghetti dinner, and believe He has big plans for reaching out to others through our story and this event.   We are blessed to be able to be used by GOD.   SO THANKFUL THAT HE CONTINUES TO SHOW UP HUGE!!!  God is good, and we sing His praises for the way HE LOVES US!!

The Spaghetti dinner will be April 8th (this Friday night)!  It is at the Omaha Police Union Hall from 4-8. We have over 250 items for auction and raffle, bake sale, tshirts, and “good spaghetti” (we already sampled it mmmm)!  It should be an amazing event.  God has been so faithful each and every step of the way.  Please come and join in the culmination of something amazing.  A story only written by the Savior containing hope, trials, tribulations, great love, friendship and sacrifice!!  This is the gospel lived out!   So honored to be a part of it!

Thank you again for your prayers, and your support it has touched us deeply!
