Back to School

Our very first back to school dinner. It was so fun!! The kids kept asking who was coming to dinner.

We have had a very busy time around here the last two weeks.  Trying to get ready to teach four beautiful children is so much fun, but also comes with incredible challenge.  The task of being Christ to my children on a daily basis through the up’ s and down’s of educating them is sometimes a daunting task.  As much as I love them, it is a daily challenge to be disciplined, organized, patient, fun, loving and stern with them as their teacher.  God has called me to this awesome joy of educating my little loved ones and so it is in His strength and His alone that I continue on.  During our back to school dinner we all set goals, and then the principal and teacher prayed for our new year.  It brought me to tears…this is an incredible gift, sacrifice, and joy that I get to take part in for my Lord.  It is not only for my sweet children, but more importantly for my dear sweet Lord.  It is in Him that we press on.

First day of school cake. It has been our tradition for several years now. The kids love smelling the cake before bed and waking up to wonder what it looks like. This year it was a bit boring, but...at least done.

Cute boys, walking to school (around the block back to homeschool). They were super excited about walking to school with their backpacks on and full of books.

My sweet girls.

First day of school was a lot of fun for everyone.  We usually only do half days the first week to allow for tweaking of our plans.  It was a good week!!  Glory to my Lord and Savior!!!  Now blessings for the next 36 weeks….=)
